Happy Manny Machado vs a lefty day!
A truly remarkable start to the season for Manny as he leads the league with a .383 average. The next closest is his teammate, Eric Hosmer with a .367 average. A huge part of Manny’s success so far is his domination of left handed pitching. Manny is an eye popping 15/31 with a .484 ISO. He has smacked 5 home runs in those 31 at bats and has accumulated 30 total bases in those at bats vs south paws.
If that isn’t enough, I’ll point to Manny’s other splits. He’s batting .333 on the road with 7 extra base hits (2 home runs).
Even better are his number in games that take place at night. He is 32/74 with 11 extra base hits (6 home runs). That’s good for a .432 average and .311 ISO. I love Manny to have a big night at the plate.
