Ty France continues his assault on pitchers this season. He’s tenth in the league in batting average with a .330 average. He hasn’t shown a weakness vs righties or lefties which will come in handy today. It will be a bullpen day for Tampa led by opener Matt Wisler (righty) then will be relieved by Josh Fleming (lefty). France has a .321 average vs lefties and a .333 average vs righties so he should matchup well vs whoever Tampa has on the mound.
My favorite motive behind this play is Ty’s incredible .452 average and .333 ISO at home. He is 19/42 with 6 extra base hits. He has over 1.5 total bases in 7/10 home games with a 3.3 total base average so far this season.
Ty also favors batting at nighttime. He has a .338 average and has racked up 33 total bases in 65 at bats so far at night. At +130, I love Ty over total bases tonight.
