I really love this spot for Sal Perez. Sal experienced quite the breakout season last year as he destroyed his career high in games played, runs, hits, home runs, and RBIs. He was tied for the league lead in Home Runs with 48 and lead the league in RBIs with 121. He has started the season a little slow with just 4 hits in 20 at bats, but has managed two quick homers. I think he is a great candidate tonight to clear his total base prop, and I will be sprinkling him to hit a home run.Β
Last seasonβs splits check every box for us. He mashed righties with a .261 average and 50 extra base hits (30 home runs). He favored playing at home where he batted .297 with 39 extra base hits (27 home runs). He also had more success in games played at night time where he had a .303 average with 43 extra base hits (29 home runs). He has also had some great success against the Tigerβs pitcher, Casey Mize. In 15 at bats vs him, Sal is 7/15 (.467) with a double and a home run.Β
