Mets ML at -112 (vs. Phillies)
Aaron Nola has struggled this season (3-8 IN 13 starts with a 6.78 ERA, 1.51 WHIP, and .291 OBA). Nolan McLean has won all four of his starts for the Mets, posting a 1.37 ERA, .76 WHIP, and a .149 OBA. As icing on the cake, he pitched eight shutout, four-hit innings vs. the Phillies on Aug. 27.Philly has been hitting the ball of late, but we’ve already seen McLean dominate them once. He’ll do it again.
Royals ML at +102 (vs. Guardians)
Neither team has been hitting the ball too well over the last week, but I have more hope that the Royals lineup can wake up vs. Slade Cecconi (5-6, 4.78 ERA), who has been battered in recent starts (6.31 ERA in Aug.). Royals starter Ryan Bergert is 1-1 in six starts with a 2.54 ERA.Bergert will shut down the Guardians while the KC lineup does enough damage to win.
Giants -1.5 at +112 (vs. Diamondbacks)
Both teams come into this game having won seven of their last ten. Neither pitcher will be easy to hit, Nabil Crismatt (D-backs; 2-0, 2.14 ERA) or Logan Webb (Giants; 13-9, 3.17 ERA). But I give the Giants the edge because they’ve been killing the ball over the last week (.307 BA).
