Leg 1: Nationals vs. Marlins – OVER 8.5 (-125)
The Marlins’ bats have been cold, hitting just .238 with 4.0 runs per game over the last week. But against Nationals starter Mitchell Parker (5.47 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, .277 OBA), they should break through. Washington’s offense is red-hot (.290 team BA) and should also do damage against Adam Mazur (5.74 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, .279 OBA).
Expect the Nationals to carry the load with enough Marlins offense to push this one OVER.
Leg 2: Pirates vs. Orioles – UNDER 8.5 (-105)
Neither team is hitting: Pittsburgh is batting just .214 over the last week, while Baltimore is even worse at .207. Kyle Bradish (Orioles) should handle the weak Pirates lineup, and Mike Burrows (Pirates) has enough to limit Baltimore’s slumping bats.
This game shapes up to stay UNDER the total.
Leg 3: Cubs ML (-105) vs. Braves
Chicago has struggled recently (.200 BA last week, four losses in five games), but Cade Horton (9-4, 2.78 ERA) gives them a strong edge on the mound. Atlanta counters with Spencer Strider (5-12, 4.97 ERA), who has been shaky.
Expect the Cubs’ bats to wake up just enough to secure the win.
