After taking care of business last night on the road against the Golden State Warriors, the Dallas Mavericks hit the road to take on the 2nd best team in the West the Oklahoma City Thunder. The regular season series is tied at 1-1, this will be the first meeting between the two played in OKC. The Mavs will be encouraged by their record of 4 wins in the last 6 visits to the Paycom Center, but there is a high chance of them missing their best player Luka Doncic here. Heβs currently listed as βquestionableβ with left hamstring tightness, after going out in the 2nd half of last nightβs game. Without Luka the Mavs are only 3-5 SU this season, it goes without saying that they instantly become a lottery team without him.
The Thunder are on longer the owners of the number one seed in the West and thatβs totally fine. This is a young team which is still learning on the fly, it is unrealistic for anyone to expect them to finish above the defending champions Nuggets. We just saw them lose a home game to the Indiana Pacers 121-111, despite another 30 point performance by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. It was only their 7th home loss of the season and their first in 10 games. OKC has been one of the more consistent bets to cover at home this season, doing so in 22 of 33 games. Against Southwest Division opponents they are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 games. Jalen Williams is the only player on their injury report, heβs questionable with an ankle problem.
