LaMelo Ball only scored 10 points but the team managed a great game. It seems like the strategy from the Twolves was to limit the stars, and Ball, Rozier and Bridges each got up 10 or less shots. When a strategy goes according to plan but still fails, that’s a really bad sign and I think Minnesota will struggle similarly tonight. Unless Minnesota can make some major shifts, I think they’ll struggle again tonight.

The Cavs are part of a true gauntlet for the top of the Eastern Conference and won’t have it easy the rest of the way. The league has woken up to the quality of this team, but they’re still playing great basketball. The scoring is balanced, the team runs deep, they play great defense, everything you would think makes up a winning team.

The Hawks are on the other end of the spectrum; they rely heavily on their star PG Trae Young, who hasn’t done enough lately and it has led to losses in 4 of the last 5. Missing John Collins has left a lot to make up and they have yet to adjust. This has the look of a team that’s saying, let’s just get to the all-star break and regroup.
