Are we starting to sound like a broken record yet? No disrespect to the Warriors but what it takes for them to win is so much higher than what it takes the Celtics. Are there games that the Warriors will win? Absolutely, but look what it took. Steph Curry played easily the best playoff game of his career, maybe the best of any game period. He shot 50% from 3 and if you watched the game you know that none of these were easy looks. Even for the best shooter of all time, this isn’t sustainable, not against this Celtics defense. Steph didn’t even shoot this well from 3 when Kevin Durant was on the Warriors, and the looks he got on that team were as open as he’s ever been.
The Celtics also haven’t lost back to back games this entire playoffs, including elimination games in both Miami and Milwaukee. They let down in spots they shouldn’t but backs against the wall is when we get some of the best performances. The defense will be locked in tonight and if what it takes to win is not going ice cold to end the 4th quarter or Steph Curry not turning into a super hero, I like the odds on Boston moneyline.
