I understand if youβve lost hope in the Celtics by this point. Every time they start to look like a predictable team, they go put out a performance like in Game 5 that turns everything on its head. But there is something predictable about the types of flaws that have developed. We know they have issues with ball handling and turnovers, but no one thought Jaylen Brown would drive to the rim and lose the ball 8 possessions in a row. But even with these issues, my impression is that the Celtics still control their own destiny and hereβs how.
We have learned a few things about this matchup. One is that the Warriors offense is far more consistent than the Celtics. They will get 105-115 points, if not from a godlike Curry performance, then from Wiggins, Klay or Poole stepping up. The Celts defense is also fairly consistent, able to limit blowouts but not totally shut down. So this comes to the Celtics offense, which will need to do a few things better, including limiting turnovers, taking advantage of size in the paint, and more Jayson Tatum in the 4th quarter. If they can adjust, with the home crowd they absolutely have the ability to force a Game 7. By that logic, if you think the Celtics will win Game 6, you should also be predicting the over. If the breakdown above isnβt enough for you, the under has hit in all 3 Warriors wins and the over has hit in both Celtics wins.
A high value parlay tonight is very much in play, if youβre nervous feel free to hedge with Warriors/Under.
