Against all odds, when nobody was expecting them to do so, the Clippers were able to pull off a massive upset yesterday in Minnesota by beating the number one seed Timberwolves. Although James Harden had a game to forget going scoreless from the field with 10 attempts, Kawhi Leonard stepped up with 32 to lead the way. LA had a minor drop in form splitting it’s last 10 games, but with back-to-back wins they are seemingly back on track. Tonight’s game in Milwaukee will be a tough one, they’ve beaten the Bucks just twice in 9 meetings. With this being their 2nd game in less than 48 hours, there is also a chance that one of the big stars either Kawhi or Paul George gets rested here which would be a major handicap.
The Bucks had a couple of days to rest, so that’s one advantage they’ll have ahead of this game. They’ve been a different team since the season restart winning all 5 of their games and holding opponents to under 100 points in their last 4 outings. The three-point shot has also been stable, they’ve hit at least 15 threes in all but one of those wins. This team is finally looking like a title contender, Giannis Antetokounmpo has really elevated his game, he just had 42 points in the win over Chicago. Milwaukee has successfully covered in 5 straight and is 4-1 SU in 5 home games against the Clippers. They are also on a run of 10 wins in 12 games vs Pacific Division opponents.
