It’s make or break time for the Los Angeles Lakers as they embark on a 6-game road trip which could very well determine whether or not they make it into the postseason. Over the last month or so the Lakers played most of their games home or around Los Angeles, a favorable schedule has resulted in a 5-2 SU in their last 7 games and a run of 9 straight wins vs Eastern Conference opponents. The quality of opponent gets a lot bigger tonight as they face the Bucks who have beaten them 10 times in the last 14 meetings. The good news for LA is that both LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be ready, plus they also get D’Angelo Russell back from an illness which caused him to miss Sunday’s game.
After a somewhat tricky start to March, the Bucks are back to being themselves over the past 5 games with a 4-1 ATS/SU record. They just annihilated the OKC Thunder at home 118-93, in what was one of their best defensive displays so far in 2024. Giannis Antetokounmpo was his dominant self with 30 points and 19 rebounds, he got a ton of help from his teammates as 6 other Bucks scored in double-figures. A total team effort would be enough to beat the Lakers too, but the question is are the Bucks good enough to pull off such dominant performances in back-to-back games? LA did win the first meeting of the season earlier in March by just 1 point, that’ll definitely be a motivating factor for Milwaukee here.
