Last week we started off by hitting all three steps to a ladder, that leaves me no choice but to see if we can do it again! The ladder was Bogdanovic points on the Hawks, but I am looking to the Hawks opposition for today’s article.

Saddiq Bey started the year off rather slow trying to fit in with Jerami Grant and his new teammate Cade Cunningham. Grant and Cunningham have been in and out of the lineup a bit this year, but Bey has started every single game for the Pistons this season. As the lineup changed around him, he began to find his groove in December and as the Pistons have gotten healthy he’s continued to play at a high level. His recent stretch has been very impressive. He’s scored 20 or more points in 6 of his last 10, and has 25+ in 3 of those. He’s averaging 21.6 over the last 5 games. He had a 21 point game vs ATL earlier in the season. This likely doesn’t mean much but a fun stat to discover nonetheless, Saddiq Bey averages 25.2 points in 6 Monday games.

As for his matchup, it couldn’t be much better. The Hawks allow the 6th most points to the small forward position, and when we narrow down to the last 15 days they have allowed the 2nd most. Hawks are 27th in defensive efficiency, 25th in field goal percentage allowed, and 26th in 3 point percentage allowed. There may be a few Pistons that have big days today, but hopefully none bigger than Saddiq!
