Utah should be feeling the pressure tonight. With 4 games remaining in their season, they are in the Western Conference’s 6 seed with Minnesota only a game and a half back. The Timberwolves have an easy matchup vs the Wizards tonight, so this is a must win game for the Jazz. Donovan Mitchell is gonna do all he can to keep his team from the play-in tournament.
Donovan has the ultimate green light on this Jazz team. He has a 33.1% usage rate, he averages 20.5 field goal attempts, 9.9 shots from behind the arc, and 4.6 free throws. The most intriguing part of those stats is, they have all gone up in the last 10 games. He has bumped his volume up to 21.8 field goals, 11 threes, and 5.8 free throws. With the stake as high as they are mixed with that type of volume, I am going to take his over on points. He has hit the over in 7 of the last 10 games, averaging 29.5 in that span. Memphis is a terrific team, so this should be a very close battle leading to heavy Mitchell minutes. Memphis plays at the 3rd fastest pace in the league and have allowed the 7th most points to shooting guards over the last 30 days, so I love this spot for Mitchell to light it up.
