After missing most of the 21-22 season, Damian Lillard returned to the court Wednesday night in a Blazers win. While he shot poorly, it was nice to see a great get back out there. He attempted 8 three pointers and played 37 minutes. I think that sets us up nicely for a value play tonight.
Dame has been one of the premiere shooters in the league for over a decade, and while there may be some rust, I love him to continue dominating from behind the arc in short order. Last season, Dame averaged 3.2 threes per game and that number jumped up to 3.8 in home games. In Portland, he had over 2.5 in 13/16, over 3.5 in 9/16, and over 4.5 in 8/16.
I do not read too much into preseason, but worth mentioning he hit 3 threes in both of the home preseason games in 23 and 24 minutes.
Phoenix is a solid defense behind the arc, but coming off a game where they allowed 14 threes I will take my chances at these odds.
This will be my first flashpicks ladder of the season. There are different ways you can bet these, but I personally will be risking .6 units on over 2.5 threes, .2 units on 4+ threes, and .2 units on 5+ threes.
