Itβs always a great day when a stud shooting guard matches up vs the Kings.
Devin Booker is getting some extra time with the ball in his hands as CP3 continues to miss time due to a thumb injury. This has been resulting in some great success from behind the arc. Now before I dive into the good numbers, Devin is coming off a game where he took 3 three point attempts. That could certainly be discouraging, but Iβm happy it happened because it gives up really good value in the best matchup possible. Devin has played 9 games without Paul this season. Devin has 3+ threes in 6/9, 4+ threes in 5/9, and had 5 threes 2 games ago. Even with the 3 attempt game, Booker is averaging 8.2 attempts over the last 5 games so Iβm comfortable considering that game an outlier.
As for the matchup, itβs beautiful. For the season, Sac has allowed the 3rd most threes to shooting guards, and when we narrow that down to the last 30 days they allow more than any team in the league. Booker has never been shy about putting up shots, and should find himself open behind the arc frequently tonight, this feels like a nice ladder spot.
