The number 6 seed is still in play for the Phoenix Suns who are aiming to win their 2nd consecutive game as they travel to Sacramento for a date with the Kings. A Pelicans slip up would have to happen in order for the Suns to leap over them, but as long as there is hope I think we can expect this team to put in the effort. KD and co. just recorded a huge win over the Clippers, knocking down 18 threes in the process for their 8th win in 12 games. They’ve enjoyed quite a lot of success at the Golden 1 Center having won 4 of the last 6 games there. Fatigue could also be a problem for the home team here as they just played last night and lost to the New Orleans Pelicans.
This is a massive game for Sacramento, following that loss to the Pels they are now in a 3-way tie with the Warriors and Lakers for the 8th spot in the West with just 2 games left to play. The surging Warriors are on a 3-game win streak, you could say that tonight’s game is a must win for the Kings. Although they’ve lost back-to-back games vs the Suns, they’ll still be encouraged with their record of 5 wins in the last 6 games vs Pacific Division opponents. The injury situation isn’t great, but at least they got Keegan Murray back who is averaging over 18 points per game in his last 10 outings. Both De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis will have to step up though, the Kings are just 6-8 SU in 14 games played with no rest.
