Stevenson has taken over as the RB1 in this offense looking absolutely electric in the last 3 games where he has seen 14,19, & 25 carries. This workload is exactly what i’m looking for as I see Chicago falling behind early in this matchup. This is a perfect game for NE to rely on the run as starting QB Mac Jones is returning from injury, and what better way to let him ease into this one. The biggest concern is the return of another quality runningback Damian Harris. He should see anywhere from 8-12 carries himself, however I think NE kills the time of possesion and will simply get a much larger portion of plays ran.
Chicago has struggled against the run all season and every starting back they’ve faced has covered this 13.5 line, with the exception against San Fran week 1 in the game where there was 6+ inches of snow. Stevenson has proved himself as an RB1 and I think they utilize him as one tonight in an excellent RB friendly matchup.
