This line is almost an even line on most books, in my opinion this is because of all of the hype around the addition of Christian McCafferey to the 49ers. Personally I see the Chiefs winning this game comfortably. After a really tough loss to the Bills the Chiefs should come prepared and hungry for a bounce back win in San Fran. The Niners are without multiple key pieces such as Jason Verrett, Arik Armstead, and possibly star safety Talanoa Hufanga. This could be a very difficult task in trying to stop one of the most dangerous offenses, and the best player in football Patrick Mahomes.
The Niners offense clearly has gotten better, however you don’t’ typically see a running back being the answer and completely changing a teams trajectory. I have concerns with Jimmy G as well, who has shown to be serviceable against middle of the road opponents this season, however in a high scoring affair I don’t see him being able to put up enough points to outscore Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
If the Chiefs take care of the football I don’t see the Niners winning this game. There is just too much hype around the Niners along with the injury concerns that I have to see them knock off a top notch opponent before I’m ready to believe in this team moving forward.
