This matchup outcome I don’t have a clear read on which is why I’m pivoting to a player prop. I love this matchup for Smith this week as in week 3 he posted 8 catches, 169 yards and 1 touchdown against the Commanders. AJ Brown has surged the last 3 weeks and he will be the main priority that WAS tries to minimize. DeVonta Smith hasn’t been as involved these past 3 weeks partially due to AJ Brown, but also due to the fact that PHI has been up and hasn’t had to pass in most of the second half of their games.

Smith is a clear top 25 receiver in this league and Coach Nick Sirianni has made it clear that they plan to find more ways to utilize him. This a perfect matchup for him to do so as WAS does not have the personnel to contain him. Likely he will see Benjamin St-Juste who has been very up and down this season.

The Eagles this season have been very good at utilizing matchups and not forcing the ball to guys which is another reason I believe Smith is in for a huge game tonight. He’s simply to dominant of a player to have 3 weeks in a row of under 40 yards receiving. If this game stays close and is a 4 quarter game we should be looking at a green slip tonight. I personally am also sprinkling the anytime touchdown as more of a gut feel based on the fact that I see all the lines point at DeVonta Smith to have a huge game!
