With 14 games left in the season, the Bruins are sitting firmly in the one spot in the wild card. They would love to add another 2 points to their total tonight vs the struggling Blue Jackets. Boston players should be licking their chops with this matchup as Columbus is 30th in goals allowed this season and the Bruins have scored 26 goals in their last 5 games. They have several dangerous guys, but no one is near Brad Marchand’s consistency. Brad has a point in 74% of his games this season, and 74% of his road games. He has a point in 8 of his last 10 games, and has 9 points in his last 4 games alone. He also has 5 points in 2 games vs the Blue Jackets this season. Elvis Merzlikins is the confirmed starter for Columbus tonight. Elvis has allowed 3+ goals in 16 of his last 20 appearances. Boston should have no trouble lighting that light several times tonight. 

I was not sure if we would see Brayden Point at a 0.5 line at home the rest of the season. I am thrilled he has one today. Toronto is not the league’s best matchup, but there is plenty to like here. Jack Campbell is the starter for the Leafs. Jack suffered a rib injury in late Feb so his last 6 starts have been pretty spread out, but he has allowed 26 goals (4.3 per game) in those 6 starts. No matter who is in net, the Leafs have been struggling defensively on the road. They have allowed 4.5 goals over their last 10 road games. If you have followed these articles since the start you likely know a thing or 2 about Brayden Point’s home stats, but of course I will review them again. Brayden has a point in 81% of his home games including 15 of his last 17. In a battle of 2 of the Eastern Conference best teams, I love Brayden to continue his success at home.
