Similar to Messi, Mbappe has a chance to write himself into the history books if he is able to lead France to back-to-back World Cup victories. It’s been 60 years since a team successfully defended a World Cup title, so this game has the potential to be a very special one for Mbappe and his team. He’s enjoyed a productive tournament so far and although he didn’t score against Morocco, he was a key contributor in the 2-0 victory, putting constant pressure with his pace on the opposing defense. The final should be no different, Argentina will have to come up with a gameplan to slow him down.
