The main reason why I believe Argentina lost their game opener against Argentina was because of Saudi Arabia's pressure and quick attacks. To Argentina's favor, Mexico doesn't play like that. Mexico likes to sit back, keep possession and be more calculated which should allow Argentina to break down the Mexican defense. This can be the reason why Argentina has scored 2+ goals vs Mexico in their last 5 games (two games were before 2015) including 4 last game in 2019. There is interesting dynamics to this group as well after Argentina dropped game one vs Saudi Arabia and Mexico tying Poland. Both teams desperately need a win and should be gunning for glory. With Mexico averaging 3 GPG in their last 4 games and Argentina averaging 3.8 goals per game in their last 5 games, give me the o2 for some security in what should be a higher scoring affair.
