Canada is a sneaky good team that (in my opinion) can give any team problems. First of all, every team's goal in their first World Cup game is always, "just don't lose." This overall mindset can only help if the game is tight down the stretch. Canada will certainly have this mindset and Belgium should play with it in the back of their head. Canada has just confirmed that their potential injuries and overall fit to certain players are nothing to worry about and they're going to Qatar at full strength. This underrated squad has been tearing it up in qualifiers averaging about 2.7 goals per match and allowing just 0.4 with a few clean sheets. They have been playing together for years and sport a strong defensive unit with speed up top for the counter. They're geared up to surprise a ton of people in Qatar and it will show in game one vs Belgium.

I'm expecting a lower scoring match and I'm leaning towards the tie, but I love the fact that we will have a cushion at +1. Give me Canada, the experienced team, in good form, to surprise the world in their 1st game vs Belgium by at least keeping the game close.
