Arsenal travel to Stamford Bridge on the back of three straight losses in the league. The Gunnersâ chances of finishing in the top four looked great last month, but injuries and a loss of form have now put them in serious doubt. A loss to Chelsea tonight wouldnât end those hopes but it would leave them little room for error the rest of the season.
Chelsea bounced back from a tough week with a win over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-finals. Although they didnât challenge for the league title this season, a win today would likely secure their position in the top four and Champions League for next season. The Blues will like their chances today getting an out of form Arsenal at home.
As an Arsenal fan its not fun giving out this pick but its impossible to ignore the current liabilities in both midfield and defense. Mikel Artetaâs hands are somewhat tied and I expect the players available to him to fight but Chelseaâs quality will eventually show and they will take all three points.
