They have the better resume and ranking in the AP Top 25 Poll. Oregon is hot though and that sometimes is all a team needs in the tournament to get a win and keep rolling.

Oregon secured a win and an upset in the first round. As the 11 seed they beat the No. 6 seeded South Carolina with ease. They won the game by 14 points. South Carolina was a solid team, they had the third-best SEC record in conference play but were no match for Oregon. This Oregon team has talent and should be hard to stop in this game.

Creighton should feel confident in themselves. They find themselves as the favorite to win in this game by 5.5 points. On the season Creighton was great. Playing in the Big East they had the same conference record as Marquette, a 2 seed. A loss in the Big East Tournament to Providence really hurt them, however. The first round was a breeze against Akron but now they face a greater challenge in this one that should be a competitive game.

These two teams appear to be lined up for a great game. They look evenly matched as Oregon has been playing some of the best basketball in the country after beating South Carolina handily following winning the PAC 12 Tournament. Oregon has some of the top talent in the country that should keep them in this game. Look for this to be a close game down the stretch. Oregon has covered 5.5 points in 77% of their games this year.

Creighton got some confidence back in the first round by making easy work of Akron. It wasn’t much of a challenge for them in that game but now they will be faced with one of their toughest opponents in a while. Creighton has proved they can beat good times like Marquette and UConn. They should be able to handle Oregon but I think this one could come down to the final minutes and be closer than a six-point game in the end.
