(7) Florida vs. (10) Colorado: Betting Tips, Prediction, and Betting Odds

Most seven vs 10 matchups can go either way. This is one of those as Florida is just 1.5-point favorites to take down Colorado. Colorado just won in the play-in game to secure this 10 seed. Both of these teams have talent and this should be an entertaining and close contest.

Colorado had high hopes for their team this season. At first it was a disappointing result but they really turned it around in the final third of the year. Midseason they lost four of five games to drop to 16-9. Then, all of a sudden, they won eight games in a row before losing in the PAC 12 championship to Oregon. Colorado has a ton of talent including three players expected to be drafted in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Florida was strong all season but really turned it up at the end of the year as well. In the SEC Tournament Florida won three-straight games before falling to Auburn in the championship game by just one point. These are two extremely tough teams that could have easily been seeded higher based on their resume and talent on each roster.

Colorado +1.5 is available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.

I’m always looking for value to bet on. Florida lost their last game by one and I think this could be another close contest. I’m going to Colorado here on the spread at just a point and a half. This game seems like it could go either way and come down to the very end so I’m a fan of taking value in this game. Even in a bad beat where Colorado loses by one, you’d still be covered here on the spread.

Both of these teams are about 50/50 on covering the spread this season. There’s not a distinct advantage that is apparent on this line. If you believe strongly that this game could go either way, then betting Colorado on the moneyline would give you more value than a spread bet. Either looks good in a 50/50 game in my eyes.

While both of these teams play with some pace and can score the ball, the points total here seems extremely high. 160 points is a total that Colorado surpassed in just 23% of their games and Florida covered it in 46% of their games on the season. I’m going to the under. Colorado hasn’t gone over this in their past seven games.

Florida scores a ton of points, the sixth most in the country. Colorado may slow them down a bit in this one. As of late Colorado has really picked up their defense and they have only given up over 80 points three times this season. The under makes sense in this one.
