Miami Ohio has been a money maker this year, for those who are fading. Their total record of 8-19 against the spread is one of the worst in the country this year. Their strength is on offense where they’ve scored 75 per game, but the team is far from consistent. Eastern Michigan isn’t having a fantastic season themselves but to give them a double digit spread isn’t right. This team beat Miami at home earlier in the season and has an even record against common opponents. The teams should be closely matched so taking the underdog is a no brainer.

Within the Missouri Valley Conference, Drake has played very well. They earned a 4 seed and now face a Southern Illinois team who they know they can beat, they’ve done it twice. Both at home and away, they played close games but came out with a win. Drake has won a lot of close games this year, which has been tough for bettors, as they’ve only covered 9 of 28 total games. But they have been getting big spreads in their favor which are tough to cover. There are shifts over the course of a season and usually the worst covering teams got to that point because they were rated highly to start. These things come in waves and those good teams prove their worth come March. Drake is one of those teams, expect a back and forth game but where Drake comes out winning by multiple scores.
