Michigan is a very popular pick for an 11 seed. They have the talent to pull this off but Colorado State has been a way more consistent team this season. I think this will be a very close one but the edge will go to CSU in the end on the free throw line. They have been excellent there all season and that’s a huge bolster in the tournament.
Only three times in tournament history has a 13 seed been within a 2 point spread of a 4 seed. Both times, the 13 seed won outright. The Jackrabbits should be no exception. They’ve got an electric offense, scoring 87 per game and shooting 44% from 3, by far the best mark of any team in the country. This team could make some serious noise, watch out.
Marquette has had moments early in the season where they were considered a top contender. UNC has had their own moments but more recently. I think this one comes down to Justin Lewis and I trust him to finish a game over Bacot. Shaka is also a great coach and doesn’t have the expectations he has had in the past, which will serve him well.
