@MattyChucks' March Madness Outright Winner Pick - 3/19

The March Madness Tournament is officially on to the Sweet Sixteen. We saw my alma mater Fairleigh Dickinson upset Purdue in the first round becoming the 2nd ever 16 seed to beat a 1 seed in the tournament (don’t sleep on Jersey hoops).

Kansas also got knocked out by Arkansas which leaves only 2 #1 seeds left in the tournament. Arizona got bounced by Princeton (jersey again) and it is looking like this tournament is wide open. You have the 2 favorites left with Alabama and Houston, but let’s look away from there.

There is only 1 team in the tournament that has a top 15 ranked offense, defense, and strength of schedule. That team is the Texas Longhorns.

They have the 15th ranked offense, 10th best defense, and 7th best strength of schedule. They have played tough teams all year and are used to playing in close games vs good teams. They have beaten Gonzaga, Creighton, TCU, Kansas, Kansas St, West Virginia, and Penn State. They can handle themselves down the stretch and have seen it all. They will have to face Houston most likely to get to the Final 4, but I think they can edge it out.
