Give me the Bengals to beat Patty Mahomes and the Chiefs outright, but loving the cheap 3 point insurance.
First of all, Joe Burrow is 3-0 vs the Chiefs including a win last year when he knocked them out of the AFC championship last season. Joe looked solid last week being a big underdog in Buffalo. He played a consistent short game (but took shots when needed) that Buffalo couldn’t figure out. I’m expecting the same tomorrow. The Bengals just seem like the more consistent, reliable team going into this week as well. Joe will check the ball down and keep the mistakes at a minimum. This is very dangerous if Patrick Mahomes doesn’t stay on the field.
The Chiefs would be in much better shape if Patrick Mahomes didn’t mess up his ankle last week. Unfortunately, he did and I think it’s a much bigger issue than they’re making it out to be. Patrick without mobility is not the same and if he gets hit in the slightest again then he could be out for the game like he was at the end of last game. He tried everything he could to stay in last game and the scary part was that he couldn’t. The scary part is that he couldn’t even with the game on the line. This can’t happen tomorrow because Chad Henne isn’t beating Joe Burrow in a playoff setting.
Give me Joe Burrow with ice in his veins to go 4-0 vs Patrick Mahomes and the Bengals to advance to the Super Bowl.
