First little article for the Saturday slate and we have a couple winless teams facing off, Georgia State(0-2) and Charlotte(0-3) but records don't mean everything. Let's start with Georgia State, they have faced 36th UNC and 58th USC (Gamecocks). The Panthers are a veteran team with 15 returning starters and so far have put up respectable performances keeping it relatively close vs both teams. They average 217.5 yards on the ground per game which they will pound the rock all game vs this dream match up.
Charlotte is my new team to fade this year until further notice. Their defense is absolutely awful, probably one of the worst in the D1 level. They have faced FL Atlantic, William & Mary, and Maryland so far this season giving up an average of over 46 points a game and a NCAA WORST 551 yards per game. The only way I could possibly see Charlotte keeping in this game is if Chris Reynolds comes back at QB(doubtful) and they score 50.
I look for Georgia State to roll over Charlotte in a blowout. They will run the ball and play good defense vs an inferior team. I thought about Georgia State TT of 40.5 but with a run focused team it's a little worrying even vs this defense.
