Capper Penguin's MLB Monday Pick: White Sox @ Twins - 4/10

Two pitchers in great form early in the season. Penguin is looking at the alternate tab for this two leg MLB play!

Dylan Cease and Kenta Maeda are both in good form and I could easily see this being a 1 to 1 or 0 to 0 first half. Dylan Cease has only allowed 1 earned run in each of his starts with this play cashing in both. He has also owned the Twins in his last two starts allowing 0 runs in a full game (9.0 IP) and 0 runs in 7.0 IP. Completely shutting them down.

On the other side, Kenta Maeda has only allowed 1 ER this season in 5.0 IP and in his last Spring Training game he allowed 2 ER in 5.0 IP. This is why we raised the first half total because he is a little more run prone than Cease. Maeda does have decent matchup history vs some of the White Sox top guys and he's in better form than he was pitching in 2021. We're also getting a nice downtick from a weather standpoint with an overall -8% runs and -30% on homeruns.
