Capper Penguin's MLB Thursday Play of the Day: Angels @ Yankees - 4/20

We should be in store for some elite pitching in today's MLB game between the Angels and Yankees and Penguin is ready to capitalize.

The Angels and Yankees have one of the two “day” games today and I’m expecting some elite pitching at least through 5. The Angels have been decent this year vs left hand pitchers, but Nasty Nestor has been on another level and has done well vs the Angels in the past. In 3 starts (15 IP) he’s only allowed 1 first half run and held the Angels to 0 first half runs in his only matchup vs them last year. Expecting this to continue.

On the other side, Patrick Sandoval has also had a great start to the season. He’s allowed 5 total 1st half runs in 3 games for an average of 1.67 1st half runs per game and he’s going against a Yankees squad who have been averaging exactly 1.67 1st half runs per game themselves. He only allowed 2 vs them last matchup and has great matchup history vs the batters.

With the day game, elite pitching, and both teams not exactly crushing the ball, give me the under 4.5 in the first 5 innings.
