Yu is finally catching a nice stride of his season and should be able to continue that vs a Pirates team who have been sliding down the standings. Yu has allowed just 1 run in his last 12 innings pitched vs a tough TOR and PHI offense. Now he’ll go against a PIT team who have just a .213 batting average in July, only a .229 BA vs RHP, and just .219 batting average after the all star break. The Padres on the other hand have been playing much better averaging .245 since the all star break and will be facing a minor league pitcher who got rocked for 7 runs in his first start last game. They play much better at home and should get to him early.
