Capper Penguin's Thursday MLB Play of the Day- 8/24

The New York Yankees have been crushing left-handed pitchers lately and Capper Penguin thinks that will continue today!

The New York Yankees finally snapped their losing streak and it was against a left handed pitcher in Mackenzie Gore. They put up 8 hits vs him and the left handed relief pitcher to follow and with help from the WAS defense for a total of 6 runs while Gore was pitching.

The Yankees have dropped 6+ hits in their previous 7 of 8 games vs left handed pitchers and are batting .252 vs them (.223 vs RHP). Yankees hitters are also batting .320 vs Corbin in the past. Patrick Corbin has been hit or miss this year, but has still hit this over in 8 of 12 away games and the Yankees have hit this line in 7 straight vs left handed pitchers at home.
