Capper Penguin's Wednesday MLB Prediction & Parlay - 9/28

Tyler Glasnow is one of the best strikeout artists in the MLB and I’m taking his under, let me explain why. He’s on a hard 45 pitch count and is not allowed to go past the 3rd inning. That means he must get 4 SO (at best) every ten pitches. Today he’s going against the Guardians who SO the least in the MLB at 6.82 SOPG & even less at home. In Sep CLE only SO once every 5.73 batters and a lot less vs RHP. Altogether the number is too high for only getting 9 outs to work with.

The First Leg: Tyler Glasnow (TBR) under 3.5 strikeouts

Verlander takes the mound vs ARI and he’s been lights out. He has a 25-1 NRFI record, hasn’t given up a 1st inning run in his last 17 games and hasn’t went against ARI since 2018. ARI hasn’t scored a 1st inning run in their last 5 games and I don’t think they’re going to again tonight.
