Cristian Javier is starting for the Astros, and he has been straight up dominant. He has allowed just 2 earned runs in his last 35 innings pitched. Only two of the Phillies batters have faced him before, so it should take them a time or two through the lineup to see him as well.
Aaron Nola is able to start today’s game because of the rainout, and he was hit hard in each of his last two outings with one of those being against the Astros. I think the Astros have a big advantage here because they have seen Nola before, and they have seen him very recently.
The Astros should be able to go to their dominant bullpen right after Javier and keep the Phillies bats in check. I like the Astros to steal a game on the road either today or tomorrow, so I like the Astros here.
