Do you ever see a matchup that just seems unfair on the face of it? The mightily struggling Angels who have lost 22 of 34 game since firing manager Joe Maddon, face the goliath Dodgers who have won 13 of their last 15.
On the mound the Dodgers have Clayton Kershaw who has allowed more than 2 ER exactly twice this season, and thatβs over 11 starts / 63 innings. His pitch totals have steadily increased as well, his last two starts going 7 and 7 2/3 innings and 200 total pitches between them. If he can get into the 8th inning, Angels fans should be very concerned.
On the other side Patrick Sandoval has been surprisingly good this season, with an ERA consistently under 3 and 84 strikeouts. The problem is that the Dodgers lineup has just been too good. Theyβre healthy again and hitting the lights out. Even if Sandoval can hold up through 6, I donβt trust the bullpen to hold up the heavy fire.
