@KeepTheJuice21 Home Run Parlay & Pick - 6/29

Cincinnati Reds (26-47) @ Chicago Cubs (28-46)

Hunter Greene is a tough pitcher to predict but we’re going to give it a try. His ERA of 5.66 is concerning to Reds fans but he has moments of brilliance including a 7 inning, 1 hit performance vs Arizona and 7.1 hitless innings against Pittsburgh. He’s also got 88 strikeouts over 70 innings. But when he gets hit, he gets hit hard and it could happen at any moment. His blazing fastball is an asset but contributes to a hart hit rate higher than almost 70% of all pitchers in the MLB. The kid will figure it out but until he does, expect plenty of runs against him.

Justin Steele is more predictable on the other side but will still give up a good share of runs. Not nearly as home runs, but he’s hittable and the Reds don’t rely on the long ball anyways. This total should go well over 7.5, making this must take bet.

Home Run Parlay

I won’t repeat myself too much but I do want to drive the point home, Hunter Greene gives up home runs. He’s given up 20 already this season and averages 2.6 per 9. Wisdom is the best bet against him for the Cubs. He’s hit 8 at Wrigley this season and hits for power consistently. This is a dream matchup for him.

We know someone will be hitting home runs for the Dodgers tonight, we just don’t know who. At the best hitters park in the country, the expected total is up to a ridiculous 11.5 runs. German Marquez is no stranger to giving up homers, he’s surrendered 12 at home and holds a 6.7 ERA at Coors Field. There are a few hitters who would be a great pick for on the Dodgers but Trea Turner stands out the most. He’s been hitting really well this season and even managed a home run in the 9 th last night. In 8 career at bats against German Marquez, Turner has had 3 hits and 1 strikeout. In a game where he will likely get up to 5 at bats, I love Turners odds.
