@KeepTheJuice21 O'Neil Cruz Play & ML Pick - 7/16

Home Run Parlay

I’ve already said that I won’t be missing the O'Neil Cruz train and the train is most definitely making a stop in the best hitter’s park in the country. Cruz can absolutely crush the ball and in a stadium where the balls carry about 9% further due to the altitude, he only looks better. Jose Urena, the Rockies starter, has had limited experience this year but has given up two bombs over 20 innings so far.

I don’t need to explain how great of a hitter Aaron Judge is, he’s currently second in the AL MVP odds at only +165 and leads the league with 31 home runs. What sells this one is the extra juice of Boston in town. Judge shows up in the big games and this is definitely one of them. Nick Pivetta is very hittable and doesn’t have a great history against Judge. In 6 at bats, he’s walked Judge 3 times and given up 1 hit. Judge will be waiting for his first chance tonight.

Chicago White Sox (45-45) @ Minnesota Twins (49-43)

When Dylan Cease is not starting, the White Sox have issues. This afternoon they’re trotting out Lance Lynn for his 6th start of the season. He has had nice performances (really only one against the Giants) but lately he’s been very hittable. He’s given up 13 runs in his last 9 innings, including 5 to the Twins only two starts ago.

The Twins have pitcher woes of their own but Dylan Bundy definitely has the advantage today. But they have the strong advantage with the bats. Prior to this series, the Twins have averaged almost 6 runs per game, including 3 games where they scored a total of 22 runs against the White Sox. The Twins have also got the advantage statistically in the bullpen. The signs all point to Minnesota winning this one at home.
