Logan Webb is off to a fairly slow start with strikeouts this season. He has 17 strikeouts in 24.1 innings so far, only 0.71 an innings. Those are not numbers I would normally target for a K prop, but I am confident his numbers from last season suggest we see some improvement soon.
Last season, Webb had 158 strikeouts in 148.1 innings (1.07 per inning). He was especially strong in home starts where he punched out 86 in 73.1 innings (1.18 per inning). He has hit his strikeout prop in 13/17 dating back to the beginning of last season, so I am gonna take advantage of the 4.5 line while we have it despite poor K numbers so far.
Washington was a tough team to strike out last season, but have regressed this season with some changes to their lineup. They were 28th in K vs righties last season, but have jumped to 14th this season. In fact, Webb just punched out 6 Nats in his last start on 4/24. I’m betting he can rack up 5 or more K today.
