I will be backing my Cy Young pick, Corbin Burnes on opening day. Corbin is coming off an incredible season, and I am excited to see what he can accomplish this season. I am gonna hit you with countless stats as to why I love this play. The Brewers were 17-5-5 in first 5 last season in his starts. They were 2-0-1 in games vs the Cubs. Corbin had a 1.94 ERA on the road, and a 1.53 ERA in day games. Corbin had a 1.35 ERA in his 3 starts vs the Cubbies last year. While there were plenty of changes to their lineup last year and this offseason, another stat that caught my eye is current Cubs batters combined career average vs Burnes is .189 with a 44% strikeout percentage. I love Corbin to get off to a hot start this afternoon.
