Nick Castellanos is one of my favorite total base targets in the league, and I think itâs about the time he gets to be an article play.
Several Phillies hitters have good numbers vs the Rockies pitcher tonight, German Vasquez, but Iâm going with Nick for several reasons. The first, he is 4/8 with 3 extra base hits vs German in his career.
Secondly, Nick was terrific at home for Cincinnati in a hitter friendly ballpark and hasnât missed a beat so far in his new home, Citizenâs Bank Park. Heâs batting .324 with 6 extra base hits at home to begin the year in his first 37 at bats. He has hit his over in 6 of 10 at home so far.
Lastly, I was shocked when I saw his value today. He is +130, a number Iâd gladly take him at in nearly any matchup, much less a great one.
