Between Harper and some of the big bats the Phillies have picked up this year, you donāt hear too much about their first baseman, Rhys Hoskins. Hoskins broke onto the scene several years ago when he hit 18 home runs in his first 34 games. Obviously, he came back to reality a bit since and has had his ups and downs as scouting reports came out on him. One thing that has remained consistent is his tendency to hit extra base hits. He had 56 in 107 games last season and off to a solid start to the 2022 season with 5 in 8 games. He sports a .292 ISO so far this season.
Rhys should be feeling pretty good tonight with his matchup. Trevor Rogers is on the mound for Miami, someone who Rhys is 5/11 lifetime against with a double and 2 home runs. Rhys Hoskinsā power splits favor road/night games, while he had 21 extra base hits vs lefties in 128 at bats. Tonight he has a road/night game vs a lefty, so I like him to go over his total bases prop.
