Capper Penguin's NBA Thursday Pick: Grizzlies @ Cavaliers - 2/2

Capper Penguin has found a spot for tonight's NBA slate with a player who should see plenty of volume!

I like this play regardless, but Desmond Bane without Jaren Jackson Jr. is a PROBLEM and JJJ is doubtful for this game vs Cleveland. Desmond averages 28 points per game without Jaren Jackson in his last 9 games without him this year including an uptick away (31 PPG). I expect him to do the same vs (on paper) a bad matchup in Donovan Mitchell and the Cavaliers. In his last two games vs Donovan Mitchell he dropped 23, 28 points and in his last game vs Cleveland he had 25 points on just 17 shots.

I'm expecting more volume without JJJ, in an away game vs a team and player he's done well against in the past. Give me 20+ for Bane.
