NHL IS BACK and I'm loving this spot for the New Jersey Devil's defenseman, Dougie. He was cruising before the all star break covering this line in his last 4 straight and last 7 of 8 games averaging 5.25 shots on goal per game. If you look at Dougie's past history in his first game back after elongated breaks he's come out firing. Returning from a broken jaw last season he peppered 5 shots on goal and after All Star break the season before he once again peppered 5 shots on goal.
He had 4 shots on goal last game vs the Canucks and they are middle of the pack in allowing shots on goal to defensive players. I don't see the recent hot trend stopping for Dougie.
