CLAIM NOWThere was a question earlier this morning on whether Dahlin would return today, and it’s great to see he’s back on the ice and ready to face the Arizona Coyotes.
No team allows more shots per game to defensemen than Arizona, and Dahlin is in rare form this season. He’s over this 2.5 mark in nine of 11 this season and has 22 SOG in his past four games. We need only three tonight, but consider Dahlin an excellent ladder candidate should FanDuel grow the confidence to let us bet it.
Bo Horvat is absolutely rolling right now, finishing with 5+ shots on goal in four straight games. He and the Canucks face off against the Senators tonight, a team allowing 33.7 shots per game, the eighth-most in the league.
Ottawa has also had some troubles with penalties, allowing the fifth-most power play opportunities per game; Horvat tops Vancouver in PP shots with 13. It’s worth noting that all of Horvat’s big games lately were at home, but given he’s gone over 2.5 in four of six on the road, I’m confident the volume will continue.
The most noteworthy game of the night is the Oilers and Lightning, and I like to follow the idea that in a massive game in front of a national audience, McDavid will show up and show out.
He’s over 3.5 SOG in four straight and 10 of 13 this season, and these odds are extremely reasonable. Tampa is allowing 32 shots per game and handing out 3.58 power play opportunities per game.
McDavid leads Edmonton with 18 power play shots, and last season against Tampa Bay, he finished with five and seven SOG.
Jason Robertson is here partially because of the current tear he’s on, but mostly because of his recent success against Winnipeg.
First, the run Robertson is currently on: he’s over 2.5 shots in four straight, piling up an absurd 23 SOG during this stretch. The volume has to be followed here, even though Winnipeg doesn’t hand out many power play chances, they do allow over 32 shots per game.
Robertson has loved facing off with the Jets. He finished with three SOG against them in October, and he went over 2.5 in all four games against them last season. He’s averaging 4.6 SOG/game in his last five against Winnipeg.
Together, we have ourselves a solid looking SOG parlay. I’ve wagered .5u on this combination, let’s bring it home!
Sticking with the NHL for this edition of Moneyline Tuesday as there are only two NBA lines currently less than -200. Insane. Sick League. On the ice we're going with the Panthers,...
