MCbets' Friday Trends: NHL Active Hot Streaks - 2/17

MCbets gave us a little cheat sheet filled with some of the hottest current streaks in the NHL - check it out below!

• Penguins vs Islanders (7PM ET)

Brock Nelson brings the night's top streak to us in this one as the Isles host the Pens as -117 ML favs. Nelson has recorded a point in 11 straight games and has seen 20+ mins played in 3 straight. In those three he has recorded 10 shot attempts in two of them. This should be a tightly contested game so Nelson should see the ice a lot as both teams will rely on their top lines to produce. Pens C Sidney Crosby has also recorded a point in 9 straight. 

• Blackhawks vs Senators (7PM ET)

Senators D man Thomas Chabot has cleared his shots prop od 2.5 in 7/10. In fact, he is averaging 3.6 over that same span. The Blackhawks are a great target as they give up the 26th most shots per game. His line currently sits at -160.

• Stars vs Wild (8PM ET)

Minnesota forward Joel Eriksson Ek (that's not a type-o) has cleared HIS shots prop in 8 of 10 and is actually averaging a FULL shot per game over said line. Over that 10 game span he has recorded totals of 7 and 6 (twice). He's averaging 5 shots per game in his last 5 home games as well.

• Rangers vs Oilers (9PM ET)

Oilers star forward Connor McDavid has cleared his shots prop of 3.5 in 8/10, averaging over 5 per game. Another trend for Edmonton is LW Zach Hyman, who has a point in 8 straight and 9/10. The Rangers aren't a great target for points or shots as they boast top 8 defense in both categories. They are in the middle of a western canada road trip so we'll keep an eye on who theyre starting in net tonight. 

• Kings vs Ducks (9PM ET)

Ducks Forward Trevor Zegras is riding a 4-game points streak and has recorded a point in 8/10. A solid matchup for Zegras as the Kings are allowing over 3 goals per game and Zegras is on the ice just about 20 mins per game. This has over 6.5 potential as well as the Ducks give up over 4 per game.
