Detroit Red Wings (27-34-9) @ Winnipeg Jets (33-27-10)

When Detroit plays, you almost have to include an opposing player to get a point. The Red Wings are dead last in the league in goals allowed this season and have allowed 4.6 goals per game over their last 10 on the road. Connor and Scheifele graduated to well deserved 1.5 point lines calling for some adjustments. I think our next best option here is Nikolaj Ehlers. Ehlers started the season rather slow but has picked up his pace with a great March where he recorded 15 points (8 goals) in 15 games. He is also stronger at home having recorded a point in 74% of games including 14 of his last 16 games. He shouldn’t have much trouble picking up a point tonight vs the putrid Detroit defense.

Tampa Bay Lightning (43-19-7) @ Washington Capitols (37-22-10)

I can’t resist TB line featuring Stamkos, Kucherov, and Point. I am personally gonna roll with Stamkos due to his recent stretch. He has a point in 8 of his last 10 (7 straight). During that stretch has 15 points total. Washington defense/goaltending season long stats look pretty solid, but they’ve been allowing goals at a high rate lately. Over their last 10 games at home, they have allowed 3.6 goals. Ilya Samsonov will be in net tonight, which should bode well for Tampa. Ilya allows 3.06 goals per game this season at home. He also has not enjoyed much success since 2022 began. He allowed 3.84 goals per game in Jan, 3.31 in Feb, and 3.13 in March. Going against Tampa Bay’s juggernaut line is not something you wanna see when you are struggling.
