Game 1 may have been one of the best games I have ever witnessed. We got to see a 14 goal thriller with 5 goals in the first, 6 goals in the second, and 3 goals in the third. While we likely can not anticipate quite this much action again tonight, I still had to get in on this game. Fanduel has a “Player Performance Parlay” I think holds great value.
The play is for both Cale Maker and Connor McDavid to record an assist. This would have hit in the first period of game one, and both players had 2 assists a piece by the time it was all said and done.
Cale played 30 shifts and 27:16 minutes so he is on the ice for nearly half the game, and is surrounded by an incredible amount of talent. Cale plays on the top power play unit as well so he will have tons of chances tonight. He has recorded an assist in 58% of his games this season, and has picked up 5 assists in 4 games vs the Oilers this season. I’m not sure the Avs put up 8 goals again tonight, but they should still find the back of the net plenty and I love Cale to give a helper or two along the way.
Connor McDavid’s line is actually set at 1.5 assists individually, so I love that we get him for 0.5 in this parlay. Hockey’s best player is simply phenomenal. He has picked up an assist in 66% of games this season. He has 16 assists over his last 10 games and has 21 assists in 13 postseason games so far this season. Obviously on the top line and top power play unit, Connor will have plenty of chances and can create chances better than anyone. He should not have much trouble picking up an assist.
